This guide has been created to help welding personnel draught welding procedures as part of their company's certification to CSA Standards W47.1, W47.2, and W186.

The three documents listed below will be discussed:

The first two documents will be briefly described; however, the focus of this guidance will be on the development of welding technique data sheets. Each item on the welding procedure data sheet will be described, and instructions for completing each part will be provided.
