Fundamentals of Vibration Analysis

Introduction of Book :

The book is designed as a text for a first course in vibration analysis, and emphasis is therefore placed on the fundamentals of the subject. For this reason there is no mention of electrical analogies even though this method affords a powerful tool for solving many advanced vibration problems when the appropriate electrical equipment is available, but merely introduces an additional obstacle when only an analysis is to be performed. In this case the method of Laplace's transformation is more useful for solving many vibration problems, particularly when transient vibrations are involved; but the method is purely routine when applied to the elementary problems of this book and therefore not suited for developing a physical understanding of the phenomenon of mechanical vibrations.
