Every central HVAC cooling system contains one or more refrigeration devices, often known as water chillers, that absorb and reject surplus heat from buildings to the outside air. The vapour compression refrigeration cycle or the absorption refrigeration cycle may be used by the water chiller. This book has a lot of information regarding cooling tower sizing, selection, application, operation, and maintenance.
